• It's Christmas time, mistletoe and wine

Here is a selection from our store specifically chosen with Christmas Day in mind -

    Offley White Port - £9.50

Lovely golden colour with aromas of bitter marmalade and floral notes. A well balanced taste with a long, delicate finish.

Drink just a jigger with plenty of ice (as the Portuguese do) for a refreshing kick to the festivities.

Puigmolto Cava Rosé, Pinedes, Spain - £9.00

100% Trepat grapes. Cherry pink, gentle bubbles with aromas of fresh raspberries and fruit salad. A fruity yet crisp wine and all this for only 11.5%.

This will go nicely with smoked salmon.

100% Pinot Blanc grapes. A complex nose of floral and fruity aromas (pear/apple). Fresh and easy to drink with a a fine and lingering finish.

A good partner for roast turkey and some soft cheeses.

Chateau Jaumard, 2009, AC Bordeaux, France - £7.95

Lots of black fruits on the nose, an abundance of fruit and soft tannins - a very affordable bit of claret.

A perfect wine for those who like to drink red with the turkey and all the trimmings, and it will go well with stilton and other strong cheeses.

Maury Vintage Mas Amiel, 2010, Languedoc, France - £19.85

What a delicious surprise! Made from 100% Grenache grapes. Deep violet colour and plum compote nose. Raisins, prunes and a lovely soft sweetness on the taste.
